Hewn City is the Night Court's mask to the world—a place of deliberate terror, where the lesser fae and visiting dignitaries are shown only cruelty and opulence. Beneath the mountain, its halls echo with screams and the clink of goblets, a theater of fear designed to keep Velaris hidden and safe.

Appearance

A vast, subterranean city carved from black stone, lit by guttering torches and the cold glow of faefire. Its architecture is all jagged edges, obsidian pillars, and balconies that overlook a central chasm where the High Lord's throne sits on a dais of bone.

What They Know
