What They Know

• The Harp is one of three objects that together form the Dread Trove, alongside the Mask and the Crown, each Made by the Cauldron for purposes no living being fully understands.
• It is said that the Harp was used in the War five hundred years ago to tear holes in the Wall between the mortal and faerie realms, allowing the fae to raid southward with impunity.
• The Harp's power is not limited to time — it can also warp space, allowing a wielder to step from one location to another as if folding the world like a piece of parchment.
• The instrument is bound to the will of its wielder, but that will must be iron-strong; a moment of doubt or distraction can cause the Harp to lash out, freezing its user in a single moment for eternity.
• Legends claim that the Harp was once kept in the Prison, locked away with the other dread objects because even the High Lords of old feared what it could do in the wrong hands.
