Survivor Series

Location from WWE by WWE / TKO Group

The Thanksgiving tradition — five-on-five elimination tag matches, brand warfare, and the first meeting of a year's worth of grudges. The event where alliances are tested.

Survivor Series is the most structurally unique of WWE's major events. The traditional elimination match — five versus five, tag rules, last team standing — demands different storytelling than any other format. Alliances crack under pressure. Surprise entries occur mid-match. Heels survive by subterfuge; faces survive by heart. The brand warfare iteration — Raw versus SmackDown — added institutional stakes: not just personal pride but brand supremacy. The Undertaker debuted at Survivor Series 1990. Mankind nearly died at Survivor Series 1998 in the Buried Alive variant. This is where tradition and surprise coexist.

Appearance

A November arena with the energy of a team sport — factions line up on the stage, captains pace, and the crowd picks their side before anyone enters. The elimination format means the match spills through multiple acts, each pin raising the tension for whoever remains. Late in the match, lone survivors face impossible odds. That moment — the last man standing while their entire team lies eliminated — is the image Survivor Series is built around.
