The Texas Rattlesnake. The toughest SOB in WWE history and the working-class antihero who saved the company during the Monday Night Wars. Stone Cold Steve Austin defined the Attitude Era with an iron fist, a bottomless supply of Steveweisers, and a middle finger for anyone who told him what to do — including his own boss. His war with Vince McMahon is the greatest ongoing feud in WWE history: the blue-collar brawler vs. the corporate machine. Austin didn't chase championships so much as he took them, holding the WWE Championship six times and making the title feel like something worth bleeding for. His catchphrases — "And that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so" and "What?" — are tattooed on the DNA of sports entertainment. The Stunner has felled legends, bosses, referees, and anyone else unlucky enough to be standing nearby.
