His return in 2014 as a Hollywood-polished villain — 'Bootista' to the internet — inadvertently helped elevate Daniel Bryan to WrestleMania main-event status.

Enormous physique with tribal tattoos across chest and back, sunglasses and a leather jacket for the entrance. The thumbs-down taunt before the Batista Bomb is a signature villain moment that even as a face somehow maintained its menace.
