Kingdom of Temeria

Location from The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski

The once-proud central northern kingdom, its silver lilies now trampled — invaded by Nilfgaard, its king dead, its people scattered between occupation and guerrilla resistance.

Temeria bleeds. King Foltest's assassination shattered the chain of command, and Nilfgaard poured through the gap like water through a cracked dam. Now black-armored occupiers patrol roads that Temerian soldiers once guarded, their banners replacing the silver lilies on every gatehouse and toll station. In the countryside, partisan bands strike supply lines and vanish into forests that have hidden rebels for generations. The smell of smoke never quite leaves the villages along the Pontar — something is always burning, whether it's a farmstead, a supply depot, or an effigy of the occupiers. Temerian identity proves harder to conquer than Temerian walls. Vernon Roche's Blue Stripes wage the war that Temeria's shattered army cannot, and in every occupied tavern, someone is whispering about restoration.

Appearance

Rolling green hills and dense oak forests crossed by stone bridges and muddied trade roads. Silver lily banners hang tattered where partisans still resist.
