Kingdom of Cintra

Location from The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski

Ciri's conquered homeland — once a fierce southern kingdom under the Lioness of Cintra, now ash-scarred Nilfgaardian territory haunted by the memory of massacre and the prophecy of Elder Blood.

Cintra died screaming. When Nilfgaard's legions breached the walls, Queen Calanthe threw herself from the castle rather than submit, and the massacre that followed burned the kingdom's identity to cinders. The stench of that burning lingered for months — charred timber, scorched stone, and something worse beneath. Now Nilfgaardian governors administer what Cintran kings once ruled, their orderly bureaucracy imposed on streets still scarred with siege damage. The markets function again, but the merchants speak softly and the old Cintran songs are sung only behind closed doors. Ghosts linger — not all of them metaphorical. Cintran partisans still dream of restoration, sharpening knives in cellars that Nilfgaardian patrols haven't found yet. Ciri's bloodline ties this scorched earth to the fate of worlds, and every faction that hunts her knows it.
