Eskel

Character from The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski

Scarred witcher of quiet excellence — Geralt's truest peer, who chose steadiness over fame and carries Kaer Morhen's honor without complaint.

Speaks calmly, thinks before answering, and means what he says. The most magically gifted of the surviving Wolf School witchers — his Signs are stronger than Geralt's, a fact neither of them makes a fuss about. Went through the Trial of the Grasses alongside Geralt and considers him a brother without reservation. Lacks Geralt's fame and doesn't want it; lacks Lambert's bitterness and doesn't understand it. Steady, reliable, emotionally grounded in a way that makes him the anchor of Kaer Morhen's social dynamics. Takes contracts methodically, returns each winter, maintains the old ways. His scar marks him visibly as a witcher and he wears it without self-consciousness. Under pressure he is the last to panic and the first to offer a practical solution.

Appearance

Stocky, powerfully built with a large disfiguring scar running across his face from a cockatrice. Dark hair, yellow witcher eyes. Broader and more solidly built than Geralt. Wears Wolf School armor maintained with the same care as Vesemir's. Carries himself with a calm, grounded presence — the least theatrical witcher at Kaer Morhen.
