Angoulême

Character from The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski

Foul-mouthed former bandit girl who found in a witcher's hansa the family she'd been stealing to replace.

Talks constantly in colorful profanity, using volume and bravado to fill spaces that would otherwise require vulnerability. Young enough that her toughness is obviously armor and old enough that the damage underneath is real. A former bandit and petty criminal who latched onto the hansa with desperate enthusiasm. Brave beyond sense — charges into fights she can't win because proving herself matters more than survival. Crude, funny, exhausting, and surprisingly perceptive about other people's emotions even as she refuses to examine her own. Wants belonging so badly it radiates off her like heat.

Appearance

Young, rough-featured, wiry build. Tangled hair, quick darting eyes, crooked grin. Dresses in mismatched stolen clothes that she considers fashionable. Scarred knuckles and a swagger borrowed from men twice her size. Looks like trouble and doesn't mind.
