Melody is synesthesia made real — you don't just hear this realm, you feel it. Every footstep adds to the ambient harmony, every conversation becomes part of the background music, and silence is considered either sacred or deeply unsettling. The people of Melody are musicians by culture if not by profession, and they communicate emotional nuances through tonal shifts that outsiders often miss. The realm carries the weight of Musa's personal tragedy — her mother Matlin's death is tied to the cost of musical magic, and there are places in Melody where the songs are sad and the resonance aches. But there's also incredible joy: festival seasons when the entire realm vibrates with celebration, and the harmonic energy is so thick it's visible as colored light.
A realm where architecture and nature are built around acoustics. Buildings have curved walls and domed ceilings that amplify and harmonize sounds. Crystal formations dot the landscape, each resonating at different frequencies and creating natural chord progressions when the wind passes through them. The colors are rich purples, blues, and reds. Concert halls and performance spaces are as common as houses. Even the trees seem to sway in rhythm.
