Gardenia

Location from Winx Club by Iginio Straffi / Rainbow S.r.l.

Bloom's hometown on Earth — a small, sunny Italian-inspired city where a girl with no knowledge of magic grew up, and where the Winx later fought to restore Earth's lost fairy heritage.

Gardenia is Bloom's anchor to normalcy. It's where she grew up as a regular girl with Mike and Vanessa Peters, where she discovered Stella and her powers, and where she returns when the Magic Dimension becomes too much. The city has no idea it sits near an access point to the magical world, and its residents' disbelief in magic was actually part of the Wizards of the Black Circle's plan — erasing belief erased the Earth Fairies' power. In Season 4, Gardenia becomes a battleground as the Winx try to revive Earth's fairy culture while the Wizards hunt Roxy. It's a fish-out-of-water scenario: six magical girls trying to blend into a world that thinks magic is fiction, running a smoothie bar by day and fighting fairy hunters by night.

Appearance

A pleasant, modern coastal city with warm Mediterranean aesthetics — terracotta roofs, tree-lined streets, parks, and a beach. It looks entirely ordinary, which is the point: Earth lost its connection to magic centuries ago, and Gardenia shows no outward signs of the magical dimension just a portal away. Bloom's adopted family home is a modest house on a quiet street. The Frutti Music Bar where the Winx work in Season 4 is a lively beachfront venue.
