Cloud Tower

Location from Winx Club by Iginio Straffi / Rainbow S.r.l.

The Magic Dimension's school for witches — a dark, sentient fortress that teaches darkness magic as a discipline rather than a path to evil, though its most infamous graduates didn't get the memo.

Cloud Tower is unsettling by design. Griffin runs a school that teaches witches to master darkness, illusion, and the more dangerous aspects of magic, and the environment reflects that philosophy. The temperature is always slightly too cold. Shadows move independently of their sources. The building itself is semi-sentient and responds to the headmistress's will — locking doors, opening passages, and occasionally ejecting students it finds particularly annoying. Despite its sinister aesthetic, Cloud Tower serves a legitimate educational purpose. Not all witches are villains — Griffin herself proved that — and the school produces skilled magical practitioners who specialize in areas fairies can't or won't touch. The rivalry with Alfea is intense but usually stops short of actual violence. Usually.

Appearance

A massive, dark gothic tower complex built of near-black stone that seems to absorb light. The architecture is sharp and angular — pointed spires, narrow windows, gargoyles that may or may not actually be alive. The tower rises above the surrounding dark forest like a jagged tooth. Inside, corridors shift and rearrange themselves, staircases lead to different places depending on the time of day, and the walls occasionally whisper. The overall impression is of a building with opinions.
