King of Solaria and Stella's father — a well-meaning ruler whose divorce from Queen Luna and susceptibility to manipulation by Countess Cassandra nearly cost him both his kingdom and his daughter.
King Radius loves his daughter deeply and governs Solaria competently, but he has a blind spot for romantic manipulation that has caused serious problems. His divorce from Queen Luna devastated Stella, and his subsequent relationship with Countess Cassandra — who was secretly allied with dark forces — nearly led to Stella's exile from her own kingdom. He means well but often fails to see what's right in front of him, especially when someone flatters his ego. His reconciliation with Stella after the Cassandra incident is genuine, and he works to rebuild trust, but the damage to Stella's ability to trust authority figures — including her own father — is a wound that echoes throughout the series.
Tall and broad-shouldered with brown hair showing silver at the temples and kind brown eyes. Wears Solarian royal robes in golds and whites. His bearing is regal but slightly softened by a warmth that makes him approachable. Resembles an older, more distinguished version of Brandon.
