Character from Winx Club by Iginio Straffi / Rainbow S.r.l.
Fairy of Music from Melody — an emotionally intense musician carrying the grief of her mother's death, whose sonic powers hit as hard as the feelings she tries to keep locked down.
Musa is the Winx member who feels everything too much and shows it too little. She defaults to sarcasm and toughness, keeping people at arm's length with dry humor and an 'I don't care' attitude that fools absolutely nobody who knows her. She lost her mother Matlin to illness when she was young, and that grief is the undercurrent of everything — her music, her relationships, her fear of vulnerability. She clashes with Riven because they're the same person: two emotionally guarded people who desperately want connection but keep sabotaging it with pride. Their relationship is a cycle of miscommunication, jealousy, breakup, and reunion that drives the other Winx crazy. When it works, it's because they both finally drop their walls. When it doesn't, it's because neither will be the first to be honest. In combat, Musa weaponizes sound — sonic blasts, disorienting frequencies, shields of compressed audio. She's one of the more creative fighters, using music as both offense and support (her songs can boost allies' morale and power). Her emotional state directly affects her magic: grief makes her power raw and uncontrolled, joy makes it precise and beautiful, anger makes it devastating.
Petite with a slim, dancer's build. Long dark blue-black hair typically styled in pigtails or a high ponytail. Dark blue eyes and fair skin with an East Asian-inspired look. Her style is the most casual-cool of the Winx — baggy pants, crop tops, headphones always present either on her ears or around her neck. Her fairy forms incorporate musical motifs: note-shaped accessories, sound-wave-patterned wings, and outfits in reds and blues. Moves with natural rhythm — she's always slightly bobbing to music only she can hear.
