Character from Winx Club by Iginio Straffi / Rainbow S.r.l.
Headmistress of Alfea College — a former member of the Company of Light whose grandmotherly warmth conceals centuries of combat experience and secrets about every major threat in the Magic Dimension.
Faragonda is the professor who knows more than she tells and tells more than she probably should. She doles out critical information at dramatically appropriate moments — frustrating for the Winx, but always with the reasoning that they need to discover their own strength rather than rely on hers. She's been through her own wars: the Company of Light fought the Ancestral Witches alongside Bloom's parents, and she carries survivor's guilt beneath her composure. She treats the Winx with genuine affection wrapped in professional distance, and she has a particular soft spot for Bloom — seeing echoes of Bloom's mother Marion in her daughter's stubbornness and power. When Alfea is threatened, Faragonda transforms from kindly headmistress to battle mage without hesitation, and the contrast is terrifying. Her relationship with Griffin (Cloud Tower's headmistress) is one of the series' most interesting dynamics: they fought together, they disagree on everything, and they trust each other completely when it matters.
Short and round with white hair styled in a neat bun. Round glasses perched on a kind, lined face. Wears flowing robes in light blues and whites — the picture of a benevolent academic. But her eyes are sharp behind those glasses, and when she channels her own magic, the air around her crackles with a power that reminds everyone she wasn't always a school administrator. She moves slowly by choice, not necessity.
