Character from Winx Club by Iginio Straffi / Rainbow S.r.l.
The Shadow Phoenix — an ancient being of pure darkness who sought the Codex to reach the Realm of Relix and claim ultimate power, nearly destroying the Magic Dimension in the process.
Lord Darkar is ancient evil without nuance — and that's the point. Where Valtor charms, Darkar dominates. He doesn't negotiate, he doesn't banter, he commands. His voice echoes with inhuman resonance, and his presence suppresses light and hope in a tangible, magical way. His plan was elegantly simple: collect the four pieces of the Codex from Alfea, Cloud Tower, Red Fountain, and the Pixie Village to open the gateway to Relix, where ultimate power waited. He nearly succeeded by corrupting Bloom into Dark Bloom — proving that even the Dragon Flame could be turned against its wielder. Darkar represents the primal darkness that existed before the Great Dragon brought light to the universe. He's not a person with a grudge; he's a force of nature with a plan. His defeat required the combined power of the Winx at full convergence — he's the villain who proved they needed each other.
A massive, imposing figure encased in dark crimson and black armor that resembles both a phoenix and a demon. His helmet has sweeping horn-like crests. Beneath the armor, his body is composed of shadow and flame — more elemental force than person. His eyes glow a burning amber-red. In his true form, he becomes a giant phoenix-like creature made of shadow fire. His underground lair, Shadowhaunt, reflects his nature: all dark stone, lava, and crushing weight.
