The Hungry Hollow

Location from When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker

A pub in Gore where an assassin once walked in disguised as a bard — and walked out with blood on her hands and a target crossed off her list.

The Hungry Hollow is the kind of establishment where nobody asks your name and everybody watches the door. It serves as a meeting point, a dead drop, and occasionally a kill site for the Fiur du Ath. Raeve entered disguised as a bard — one of the few covers that lets an armed person move freely in a crowded room. The pub's name suggests its clientele: people who are hungry for something — information, a job, a drink strong enough to forget. It is neither the worst nor the best establishment in Gore, which is precisely why it's useful. Too clean attracts attention; too dirty repels contacts. The Hungry Hollow sits exactly where it needs to.

Appearance

A grimy, low-ceilinged pub built from mismatched timber and reclaimed stone. The bar is scarred with knife marks and burn rings. The light is dim by design — patrons prefer anonymity. The air is thick with pipe smoke, spilled ale, and the sour smell of too many bodies with too few secrets to keep.
