Dhomm

Location from When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker

Capital of The Burn — a fortress-city built on volcanic stone where Kaan rules from a throne he forged from conquest.

Dhomm is loud, hot, and alive. The clang of smithing echoes through every district. The air tastes of metal and ash. Markets overflow with goods traded across all three kingdoms, and the warrior culture means disputes are settled with fists more often than words. It is direct in the way The Burn is direct — no one wastes time on subtext. Beneath the surface intensity, Dhomm is a city that takes care of its own. The Great Flurrt celebration fills the streets with festivity and the rare sight of a warrior culture letting its guard down. The forest near the Imperial Stronghold contains the dwelling Kaan once shared with Elluin — a place of painful tenderness hidden behind the city's hard exterior.

Appearance

A city of dark stone and red metal built into and around volcanic terrain. Smoke rises from forges that never cool. The streets are wide enough for dragons to land in the main thoroughfares. The Imperial Stronghold dominates the skyline — a massive fortress of black stone that absorbs the relentless heat. At night, the city glows orange from forge-light and the distant shimmer of magma flows.
