Character from When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
King of The Fade — the twilight kingdom pinched between fire and darkness, ruled by a Vaegor who plays both sides and commits to neither.
Cadok rules the kingdom caught between extremes — geographically, politically, and temperamentally. The Fade sits between The Burn and The Shade, and Cadok has made a career of occupying that middle ground. He is diplomatic where Kaan is direct and subtle where Tyroth is manipulative, but his neutrality often reads as weakness or cowardice depending on who's judging. His relationship with his siblings is defined by distance. He neither openly opposes Tyroth's tyranny nor openly supports Kaan's ambitions, which makes him either the smartest Vaegor or the most complicit. The Moltenmaw dragons of his kingdom — versatile, adaptable, capable of living anywhere — mirror their king's refusal to commit to a single position.
Vaegor features with the ambiguous coloring of The Fade — neither the sun-dark tones of The Burn nor the pale cold of The Shade. Dresses in the muted, shifting colors of twilight.
