Location from The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan
A remote farming region in western Andor that hasn't seen a tax collector in generations — it bred the Dragon Reborn, the Wolfbrother Lord, and the Amyrlin Seat, and has no idea why.
The Two Rivers is so remote that most Andorans forget it exists. It has no lord, no soldiers, and no connection to the wider world beyond occasional peddlers and the annual visit of a gleeman. The people are stubborn, independent, and suspicious of outsiders — which is why three ta'veren and the next Amyrlin Seat grew up here without anyone noticing. After the Trolloc invasion and Perrin's defense, the Two Rivers transforms into a lordship with real military capabilities. But it never quite loses the smell of tabac fields and Winespring water.
Rolling farmland between the Mountains of Mist and the Waterwood, dotted with thatch-roofed villages connected by dirt roads. Emond's Field is the largest settlement, centered around the Winespring Inn and the Village Green. The Winespring water is cold and clear, the tabac fields are golden, and the whole region radiates a peaceful isolation that is about to end permanently.
