Nynaeve's defining characteristic is that she cares so intensely about the people she protects that the emotion comes out as rage. She married Lan Mandragoran, the uncrowned king of a dead nation, because of course she did — Nynaeve does not do anything by halves. She is rude, impatient, hypocritical about her own temper, and the person you most want in your corner when the world is ending.

She's not tall but carries herself with the fierce authority of someone who spent years as the village Wisdom telling grown men what to do. She dresses practically, pulls her braid, crosses her arms, and glares with an intensity that makes Aes Sedai flinch. Her block — she could only channel when angry — shaped her entire fighting style into something explosive and overwhelming.
