Logain Ablar

Character from The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan

A false Dragon who was gentled, Healed, and rose again — destined for glory by Min's viewing, he became the leader the Asha'man needed when their founder betrayed them.

Logain declared himself the Dragon Reborn, raised armies, was captured and gentled by the Red Ajah, and should have been destroyed. Instead, Nynaeve Healed his gentling — something thought impossible — and he joined the Black Tower as an Asha'man. When Taim revealed himself as a Darkfriend, Logain became the rallying point for the loyal Asha'man. Min saw glory around him from the beginning. His arc is about a man who wanted to be the Dragon and had to settle for being himself — and discovered that being himself was enough. He leads the Asha'man after the Last Battle, reforming them into an institution that serves the Light rather than any single man's ambition.

Appearance

Tall and darkly handsome with an intensity that draws attention. He carries himself with the natural authority of someone who once declared himself the Dragon Reborn and convinced armies to follow him. Even gentled, he had presence. Restored, he radiates contained power.
