A wolf who died and lives again in the Wolf Dream — Perrin's guide and mentor in Tel'aran'rhiod, teaching the Young Bull to run with wolves without losing the man.
Hopper was killed by Whitecloaks and passed into the Wolf Dream, where wolves who die continue to run. He became Perrin's primary teacher in Tel'aran'rhiod, showing him how to navigate, shape, and fight in the dream world. He was finally killed permanently by Slayer during the Last Battle — his second and final death, sacrificed to give Perrin the knowledge he needed to defeat Slayer alone.
A large grey wolf with intelligent golden eyes. In Tel'aran'rhiod, he's as solid and real as any physical wolf. He communicates through images, emotions, and concepts rather than words.
