A former Warder turned Wolfbrother — a wild man who lives with wolves and taught Perrin what it means to hear the wolves without losing yourself.
Elyas was a Warder who discovered he could talk to wolves. The Red Ajah tried to gentle him (mistaking his ability for channeling), and he fled into the wilderness. He's lived with wolves ever since, and he was the first person to explain to Perrin what was happening to him. He's gruff, practical, and maintains enough humanity to care about Perrin's struggle — because he fought the same battle and won, mostly.
Shaggy-bearded and wild, with the golden wolf-eyes that mark a Wolfbrother. He dresses in animal skins and moves through the wilderness like he belongs there. His former Warder training shows in his combat readiness — he's never truly relaxed.
