Seth is the pack's ray of sunshine. Where the other wolves treat the Cullen alliance with grudging tolerance at best, Seth genuinely befriends them — he fought alongside Edward during the newborn battle and they developed a real mutual respect. He phased young, following his sister Leah into the supernatural world, and took to it with an enthusiasm that baffled the older, more cynical wolves. He joined Jacob's pack without hesitation. His optimism is not naivety — he has seen violence and loss — but a conscious choice to see the best in people, a trait that makes him remarkably mature for his age.
