Nahuel

Character from Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

A 150-year-old half-vampire from South America whose testimony saved the Cullens — Nahuel proved that vampire-human hybrids reach maturity and stop aging, defusing the Volturi's pretext for war.

Nahuel is the living evidence that saved the Cullen family. A half-vampire like Renesmee — born of a vampire father and a human mother — he reached full maturity at approximately seven years and has remained unchanged for over a century, proving that hybrids are not the uncontrollable threat the Volturi claimed. Alice and Jasper traveled the world to find him and brought him to the clearing at the crucial moment. His testimony, delivered quietly but firmly, stripped the Volturi of their justification for destroying the Cullens. His existence also proved that Renesmee would stop aging, relieving the Cullens' deepest fear about their daughter's accelerated growth. Nahuel's own history is bittersweet — his mother died giving birth to him, and he was raised by his aunt, carrying guilt about his birth for over a century.

Appearance

Warm teak-brown skin, dark hair, dark eyes with a slight reddish tint. Handsome, youthful appearance — looks about twenty though he is over a century old. Lean build. Moves with supernatural grace but has a warmth and approachability that full vampires lack. His heart beats, his skin is warm, and he can pass for human more easily than any vampire.
