Character from Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
The biggest, strongest, and most cheerful Cullen — Emmett treats immortality as an endless opportunity for fun and approaches every fight with a grin.
Emmett is the Cullen family's comic relief, enforcer, and emotional ballast all in one enormous package. He was mauled by a bear in 1935 and Rosalie carried his broken body over a hundred miles to Carlisle because something about him reminded her of a friend's child. He woke up as a vampire, looked at his new family, and basically shrugged and decided this was awesome. He is genuinely happy in a way that is rare among vampires — he does not brood about his lost humanity, does not agonize over moral philosophy, and does not carry centuries of guilt. He arm-wrestles bears for fun. He makes inappropriate jokes during family crises. He loves Rosalie with an uncomplicated adoration that gives her something she desperately needs: someone who sees her exactly as she is and thinks she is perfect anyway. In a fight, his raw physical strength is unmatched in the family, and he approaches combat like a sport. He is more perceptive than people give him credit for — he just chooses joy over analysis.
Massive — well over six feet tall with a bodybuilder's physique that makes other vampires look slender. Dark curly hair cropped short. Golden eyes that are almost always laughing. Pale skin stretched over enormous muscles. Deep dimples when he smiles, which is constantly. Looks like a college linebacker who moonlights as a model. Moves with surprising lightness for his size. Dresses casually — t-shirts that strain across his chest, jeans, hiking boots. His hands are enormous.
