Jacob's quiet, loyal friend whose unknown father is a source of tribal controversy — Embry is steady, dependable, and one of the original young wolves.

Embry is one of Jacob's two best friends and among the earliest to phase after Sam. He is quieter and more reserved than the other wolves, preferring to observe before acting. His parentage is a source of quiet scandal — his mother is not from one of the traditional shape-shifter bloodlines, meaning his father must be one of the Quileute men who carries the gene, but his mother has never revealed who. This makes him an outsider in subtle ways despite being a full member of the pack. He eventually joins Jacob's breakaway pack, loyal to his friend above tribal politics.

Appearance

Tall and lean with copper skin and shaggy black hair. Quiet, watchful dark eyes. Less massively built than Sam or Paul but wiry and fast. In wolf form: grey with dark spots. Has an easy, understated presence.
