Trent

Character from Total Drama by Tom McGillis & Jennifer Pertsch (Fresh TV)

The cool guy with a guitar and an obsession with the number nine — a laid-back musician whose romance with Gwen was the franchise's first love story, and whose breakdown in TDA was its first cautionary tale.

Trent is the nice guy of the original cast — genuinely kind, musically talented, and emotionally available in a way that makes him unusual among the Total Drama boys. He bonds with Gwen over stargazing, writes songs about her, and is generally the boyfriend every teenage girl wished she had. Until the number nine thing. In TDA, an offhand mention of his lucky number spiraled into a genuine obsession — doing everything in sets of nine, throwing challenges nine times, making nine-based decisions. Courtney weaponized this obsession to manipulate Gwen into breaking up with him, and the result was one of the show's most painful storylines: a good guy destroyed by his own quirk. Post-breakup, Trent fades from competition but remains one of the franchise's most sympathetic figures. He's a Drama Brothers band member, a decent friend, and the person who proved that being nice isn't always enough.

Appearance

Black hair, green eyes, lean build. Wears a green Chet Baker-style shirt and jeans. Carries a guitar everywhere — it's essentially a limb. Good-looking in an approachable way, with an easygoing smile. Accident-prone — he's survived more near-death experiences than most action heroes.
