Shawn lives in permanent apocalypse mode. He sleeps in trees to avoid ground-level zombie attacks. He evaluates every new person as a potential undead threat. He refuses to form close attachments because 'friends slow you down when the zombies come.' His prize money goal is an undead-proof bunker. Despite the paranoia, he is extraordinarily capable — ninja-level stealth, tree-to-tree movement, and physical skills that dwarf the competition. His relationship with Jasmine is the Pahkitew season's heart: two survivalists from different hemispheres who find each other and have to learn that surviving together is better than surviving alone.
Lean and wiry with a toque beanie, perpetually alert eyes, and the twitchy energy of someone who sleeps in trees. His clothing is practical — earth tones, easy to move in. His default posture is a combat-ready crouch.
