The brickhouse with a heart — a towering gentle giant who loves animals, cries at commercials, and is terrified of basically everything that isn't his mother.
DJ speaks softly and carries himself like a large man who is constantly afraid of accidentally sitting on something small. He loves animals with a devotion that borders on spiritual — he adopts every creature he meets, though they tend to meet unfortunate ends. He was cursed after touching a mummified dog in Egypt, causing every animal he encountered to get hurt, which broke him. His cooking is genuinely excellent, rivaling Chef's actual (non-show) abilities. His illegal alliance with Chef in TDA — where Chef coached him in exchange for splitting the prize — haunted him with guilt until he confessed and eliminated himself. This is peak DJ: he'd rather lose than compromise his values. His mother is his moral compass, his strategic advisor, and the person whose disappointment he fears more than elimination. He holds his mama to the highest authority. When she appeared on the show and threatened Chris, it was one of the few times Chris backed down from anyone.
The largest contestant by height and muscle mass, with a build that belongs on a football field and a face that belongs on a greeting card. Brown hair under a beanie, dark eyes that are perpetually moist with either joy or terror. Wears a white skull cap and a green shirt. Often carries a teddy bear. The visual contrast between his intimidating size and his soft demeanor is the entire joke.
