The 'normal guy' — a germaphobic neat freak who considers himself the only sane person on Pahkitew Island, until his obsessive crush on Sky drives him to become the very thing he mocked.
Dave's entire identity is being normal in a cast of weirdos, which works until Sky enters his field of vision. His crush transforms him from uptight-but-reasonable to whiny, anxious, and increasingly unhinged. When Chris reveals Sky has a boyfriend named Keith, Dave's descent is rapid and ugly — he becomes the kind of person he spent all season criticizing. His germaphobia is genuine and played for both comedy and sympathy. He's the audience surrogate who points out how insane everything is — until he becomes the insane one.
Clean-cut, ordinary-looking, and small in stature. Wears a teal shirt and cargo shorts. His appearance screams 'I should be anywhere but here.' Constantly flinching from dirt, bugs, and physical contact.
