Skull's Bay

Location from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

The pirate capital where Captain Rolfe rules a lawless harbor — the kind of place where you negotiate alliances over rum and sealed with a handshake that might still have a knife in it.

Skull's Bay smells like salt, tar, and spilled rum. It operates outside any kingdom's law — Rolfe's word is the only authority, and his authority extends exactly as far as his fleet's cannons can reach. It's dangerous, chaotic, and the only place where Celaena could negotiate a pirate alliance through sheer audacity. The bay is strategically vital — its fleet controls key shipping lanes, making Rolfe's alliance worth the risk of dealing with pirates.

Appearance

A rough harbor town built into cliffs overlooking a natural bay, with docks crowded with pirate vessels. Taverns, gambling dens, and black market stalls line the waterfront. The architecture is weathered wood and salt-stained stone. Skulls adorn the harbor entrance — a warning and a welcome.
