Eyllwe

Location from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

A proud southern kingdom of warmth and learning, conquered by Adarlan and bled dry — Nehemia's homeland, whose people never stopped resisting.

Eyllwe before the conquest was a kingdom of scholars and warriors — its people understood wyrdmarks, its princess could read the ancient language, and its culture valued knowledge alongside martial strength. Adarlan's conquest turned it into a resource colony, its people enslaved or scattered. Nehemia's sacrifice was explicitly for Eyllwe — to force Celaena to become Aelin and liberate the continent, including her homeland. The kingdom's suffering is the series' most direct indictment of empire.

Appearance

A warm, fertile land south of Adarlan with dense jungles, wide rivers, and cities built in bright colors and open architecture. The culture is rich with music, scholarship, and a deep spiritual tradition tied to wyrdmarks.
