Jerry

Character from The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman (comics), Frank Darabont (TV), Telltale Games

Ezekiel's bodyguard and the Kingdom's biggest personality — a massive, joyful man with a battle-axe who proves that warmth and lethality coexist perfectly in the apocalypse.

Jerry is the show's emotional palate cleanser — a genuinely happy person in a world determined to grind happiness into dust. He calls Ezekiel 'my liege' with unironic devotion. He hugs people. He makes jokes during firefights. He eats cobbler with the enthusiasm of a man who understands that small pleasures are survival tools. But he's not comic relief — he's a warrior who protects Ezekiel with lethal devotion and fights with a savagery that surprises anyone who only saw the hugs. His joy isn't naivety. It's resistance.

Appearance

Large and heavyset with a broad, open face permanently set to 'friendly.' Dark hair and a full beard. Carries an enormous battle-axe that he swings with devastating effectiveness. Despite his size, he's surprisingly nimble. His smile is the widest in the show and appears regardless of circumstances.
