Springfield Mall

Location from The Simpsons by Matt Groening / Fox

Springfield's commercial center — a standard American mall where the Leftorium is located, Lionel Hutz has an office, and Springfield residents converge to buy things and encounter each other.

The Springfield Mall is Springfield's commercial backbone — the place everyone goes for shopping, the food court, and the specific small-town mall atmosphere of a place where you will definitely run into someone you know. The Leftorium is here, and Ned's decision to open it in the mall rather than a standalone location reflects a certain optimism about foot traffic that has been vindicated. The mall is well-attended. Springfield's residents do consume.

Appearance

A large indoor mall with the usual configuration — anchor stores, food court, glass-roofed atrium. The Leftorium is visible from the main corridor. Lionel Hutz's 'I Can't Believe It's a Law Firm!' is also here, in a location that suggests proximity to foot traffic was a deliberate choice.
