Springfield's most recurring criminal: a valley-accented recidivist who gets arrested, escapes, and returns with the reliable cadence of someone with no better options.
Snake is Springfield's ambient criminal element — he robs things, gets arrested by Wiggum, escapes or serves a minimum sentence, and is back in circulation within the episode. He is not particularly clever, but he is persistent in the way of people who have no other skill set. He speaks in a California valley accent that sits oddly against his criminal biography. He has had a girlfriend, a son, and vague aspirations toward the legitimate. These have not materialized. His relationship with the Springfield police is of the catch-and-release variety.
