Rod Flanders

Character from The Simpsons by Matt Groening / Fox

Ned's older son — a devout, earnest boy who prays before bed, after breakfast, and probably during recess.

Rod is his father's son — sincere, devout, and incapable of the casual meanness that Springfield children normalize. He is close with Todd, prayers with him every morning and night, and has never expressed interest in anything that Ned would disapprove of. He plays with Todd. He eats Nachos Flanders-Style (cucumbers and cottage cheese). He prays for the success of Christians broadly. He does not always understand what his prayers are for, but he says them. He is fine. He is genuinely fine, in a world where fine is the strangest thing a child can be.

Appearance

Young boy with curly hair, a light blue polo shirt, dark pants, and the expression of someone who has never had a thought he'd be ashamed of. He is clean. He is always clean.
