Springfield's ageless disco devotee — a man living forty years outside his moment who has committed to the bit so completely that it may not be a bit anymore.

Disco Stu never updated. He had a good thing in the late seventies and he kept it. Springfield exists in a permanent present tense, so this works out better for him than it would elsewhere. He runs Stu's Disco. He speaks about himself in the third person. His commitment to the era is total and seems unironic, which is what makes it funny and eventually what makes it oddly admirable. He has tried to date several Springfield women, including Selma Bouvier. He has been, briefly, a sea captain. He remains Disco Stu.

Appearance

Large afro, rhinestone-encrusted leisure suit, platform shoes. He arrives wherever he arrives with the full disco aesthetic intact. He refers to himself in the third person as 'Disco Stu.'
