Rippon bridges the gap between the harsh northern coast and the gentler south. Its people are sailors and traders, more outward-looking than the inland duchies, and they suffered significantly during the Red Ship War. The duchy's relationship with Bingtown and the southern trade routes gives it a cosmopolitan character.
A coastal duchy with a milder climate than Buck or Bearns. The harbors are busy with trade, and the architecture shows southern influences. Fishing villages and small ports dot a coastline that is more accessible and less cliff-bound than the north.
