A child spy who grew up in shadows — recruited by Regal as a mole in Kettricken's household, later reclaimed by Chade to serve the Farseer throne properly.
Rosemary's tragedy is that she was used as a weapon before she was old enough to understand what weapons do. Planted in Kettricken's household by Regal, she betrayed people who treated her kindly because the adults controlling her gave her no other option. Chade's later recruitment of her at least gives her agency — she chooses to serve, rather than being forced.
Unremarkable by design — the kind of face that blends into a crowd. As a child she was small and quiet, the perfect spy. As an adult she maintains the same deliberately forgettable presence.
