Location from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau
Hidden sanctuary of the Children of the Watch. An underground refuge where Mandalorians live by the ancient creed — never removing their helmets. Location changes as needed for secrecy.
The Covert is less a place than an idea — a movable sanctuary that exists wherever the Children of the Watch settle. On Nevarro it was in the lava tubes; on other worlds it has been in caves, abandoned structures, whatever can be sealed and hidden. The Armorer's forge is always the heart of it — the rhythmic clang of hammer on beskar is the covert's heartbeat. Foundlings train in the corridors, warriors stand watch at hidden entrances, and the creed is recited in low voices. There is no decoration, no luxury. Beskar is forged, oaths are sworn, and the Way is followed. The air is warm from the forge and smells of heated metal and the leather of flight suits. When a covert is discovered, the tribe moves — losing some, saving most, and beginning again.
Underground chambers connected by narrow tunnels, lit by forge-light and wall-mounted lanterns. The Armorer's forge is the central feature — an anvil, smelting equipment, and racks of beskar ingots. Living quarters are spartan. The entrance is always concealed and guarded.
