Tatooine

Location from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau

Desert planet orbiting twin suns in the Outer Rim. Moisture farms, spaceports, and criminal enterprise define life here. Boba Fett now rules from the former Hutt territories.

Tatooine is a planet of extremes — scorching days, freezing nights, and a lawlessness that persists despite changing rulers. The twin suns bleach everything to bone-white and amber. Mos Eisley and Mos Espa serve as the main population centers, each a labyrinth of cantinas, junkyards, and docking bays. Beyond the cities, Tusken Raider tribes patrol their ancestral territories, krayt dragons prowl the Dune Sea, and moisture farmers eke out quiet lives. Boba Fett has claimed Jabba's former empire, bringing an uneasy order. The air tastes of sand and engine grease. Jawas trundle across the wastes in their sandcrawlers, and the wail of a bantha carries for miles across the empty flats.

Appearance

Endless dunes and rocky wastes stretch beneath two blazing suns. Settlements cling to the landscape — adobe structures, moisture vaporators dotting the flats, and canyon-walled cities bustling with species from across the galaxy. Sandstorms roll in without warning, swallowing the horizon in brown haze.
