Location from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau
Ancestral home of House Kryze and Mandalorian nobility. A once-verdant world with Bo-Katan's family castle, destroyed by Imperial bombers on Moff Gideon's orders.
Kalevala was quieter than Mandalore — a world of aristocratic estates, training grounds, and the political maneuvering of Mandalorian noble houses. Bo-Katan's castle overlooked a dramatic coastline, its great hall hung with Kryze family banners and clan weapons. The Imperial bombing that destroyed it was targeted and personal — Moff Gideon sent bombers specifically to deny Bo-Katan any safe harbor. Now the castle is rubble, its halls open to the sky. Wind sweeps through broken walls where strategy was once planned and alliances forged. The destruction of Kalevala was the final blow that convinced Bo-Katan she had nothing left to lose, driving her toward Mandalore's reclamation.
Rocky coastlines and grey-green highlands surround the ruins of noble estates. Bo-Katan's castle — once an imposing fortress of Mandalorian stone and beskar-reinforced walls — lies in bombed-out ruin, its towers collapsed and walls scorched black by TIE bomber runs.
