Imperial Research Base

Location from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau

Former Imperial facility on Nevarro's outskirts where Dr. Pershing conducted experiments on Grogu's blood for cloning research. Destroyed but its ruins remain as a reminder of Imperial cruelty.

The Imperial research base was hidden in plain sight on Nevarro's outskirts, its entrance disguised among the volcanic rock formations. Inside, the sterile white corridors and humming equipment stood in stark contrast to the rough frontier settlement nearby. Dr. Pershing's laboratory contained rows of bacta tanks holding deformed clone bodies — failed experiments using Grogu's blood, M-count-rich samples that the Imperial Remnant desperately needed. Security was heavy: stormtroopers, scout troopers on speeder bikes, and an outer perimeter of motion sensors. Din, Cara Dune, and Greef Karga assaulted the facility and destroyed it, but the research data had already been transmitted. The ruins still stand on the edge of town, a blackened shell that Karga has considered demolishing but never gets around to.

Appearance

A fortified compound of grey durasteel walls and blast doors built into Nevarro's volcanic rock. Inside: sterile laboratories, holding cells, bacta tanks containing failed clone specimens. Now partially collapsed and scorched from the assault that shut it down.

Also known as: Pershing's lab, the Imperial base
