Location from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau
Frontier mining settlement on Tatooine, formerly called Mos Pelgo. Marshal Cobb Vanth protects its people from raiders and krayt dragons. Small, tough, self-reliant.
Freetown is what happens when people decide to stay in a place that is actively trying to kill them. The settlement clings to existence through sheer stubbornness, its residents mining and moisture farming in krayt dragon territory. Cobb Vanth keeps order with a quick draw and a slower temper, settling disputes and organizing defense against Tusken raids and sandstorm damage. The saloon serves as town hall, courthouse, and cantina. Everyone knows everyone. Strangers are watched carefully. The people here fought alongside Din Djarin to kill a krayt dragon, and that shared victory forged a community identity stronger than the buildings themselves. The air smells of dust and determination.
A dusty collection of pre-fabricated shelters and repurposed mining equipment arranged along a single main street. A water tower marks the center of town. The surrounding desert is flat and featureless, broken only by the distant ridgeline where a krayt dragon once nested.
