Kuiil

Character from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau

Ugnaught vapor farmer and quiet philosopher — a freed slave whose patient dignity and stubborn self-reliance made him the moral compass Din never knew he needed.

Kuiil ends arguments with three words: 'I have spoken.' It is not rudeness — it is the finality of a being who has thought carefully and will not be moved. He was enslaved by the Empire, bought his freedom through labor, and built a life on Arvala-7 with his own hands. He values competence, patience, and self-sufficiency above all. He reprogrammed IG-11 from killer to nurse through sheer stubborn repetition, seeing potential for good in a murder machine when no one else would. He helped Din because it was right, not because he was asked. His death — shot in the back by scout troopers while riding his blurrg — was senseless and enraging, the kind of cruelty that makes the galaxy's violence feel personal.

Appearance

Short, stout Ugnaught with deeply wrinkled pinkish skin, a broad snout, and small wise eyes. Wears practical moisture-farmer clothing — leather apron, work gloves, heavy boots. His homestead on Arvala-7 is immaculate, every tool in its place. Moves with the unhurried confidence of someone who has already survived the worst the galaxy can offer.
