Huyang

Character from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau

An ancient Jedi architect droid who has built lightsabers for thousands of years, Huyang serves as a living archive of Jedi history, fussy in manner but invaluable in knowledge.

Huyang has served the Jedi Order for over twenty-five thousand years, and he has opinions about nearly every one of them. He is fussy, particular, and occasionally condescending in the way that only someone who has outlived entire civilizations can be. His memory contains records of virtually every lightsaber he has helped construct and every Padawan he has guided through the process. He is pragmatic about the fall of the Jedi — he has seen Orders rise and fall before, though he admits this last collapse was particularly thorough. He serves Ahsoka with a mixture of loyalty and gentle exasperation, treating her much as he would any Padawan who has not yet lived long enough to appreciate proper procedure.

Appearance

Spindly humanoid droid with yellowed, aged metal plating showing centuries of wear and repair. Tall and thin with an articulated face capable of surprisingly expressive disapproval. Moves with careful, precise gestures befitting a craftsman.

Also known as: Professor Huyang
