Cobb Vanth

Character from The Mandalorian by Jon Favreau

Marshal of Freetown and frontier lawman — a decent man in an indecent wasteland who wore another man's armor until honor demanded he give it back.

Cobb is the quintessential frontier lawman dropped into a space western. He speaks with easy charm and dry humor that masks genuine steel — he liberated Mos Pelgo from Mining Collective thugs single-handedly using Boba Fett's armor before he even knew what it was. He governs by consensus and personal bravery rather than force. When Din arrived demanding the armor, Cobb negotiated instead of fighting: help me kill a krayt dragon, and I'll give it back. He is brave to the point of recklessness, honest to a fault, and protective of his people above all else. He was shot and nearly killed by Cad Bane in a quick-draw confrontation — outgunned by the galaxy's fastest draw but refusing to back down from protecting Freetown.

Appearance

Weathered, sun-lined face with sharp blue eyes and a rancher's lean build. Originally wore Boba Fett's green Mandalorian armor salvaged from Jawas — ill-fitting but functional. After returning the armor, wears a marshal's duster and wide-brimmed hat over practical frontier clothing. Red scarf at the neck. Timothy Olyphant's lanky, gunslinger physicality defines his silhouette.
