Rito Village

Location from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo

A spiraling wooden village built around a rock pillar in the middle of a lake — where bird-people live under the shadow of a Divine Beast that won't let them fly.

Rito Village is charming, vertical, and besieged. In BotW, Divine Beast Vah Medoh circles above, attacking any Rito who flies too high — effectively grounding a race defined by flight. The village's elder Kaneli manages the crisis while Teba attempts a solo assault. In TotK, an unending blizzard from the Wind Temple replaces Vah Medoh's threat. Teba has become the elder, and his son Tulin must prove himself as the next generation's warrior. The village's communal nature shows in its shops (Slippery Falcon, Brazen Beak) and its inn (Swallow's Roost).

Appearance

A tall rock pillar in the middle of Lake Totori, wrapped in a spiraling wooden walkway with Rito dwellings, shops, and the landing for Revali's monument. The architecture is lightweight and open-air, designed for a people who fly.
